October Udate

I know I'm super late but I've been out of town so better late than never right! October was a busy month for us, it flew by! Halloween was pretty laid back this year, my mom was down so it was fun to celebrate it with her. Every year Chris's work has a Halloween party and all the kids go Trick or Treating around to the desks. It was the first year that Carson had any idea what was going on and he wasn't too impressed! He thought it was great until he saw this scary old man mask and he freaked, I don't think he got over it until we got back in the car! We went back to the house and handed out candy, we ran out within a couple of hours, there were soo many kids! Carson didn't dare get to close to the door it was all a bit traumatizng for him! Although he did think he was pretty cool in his turtle costume with his little bucket full of treats! All in all it was a great night and Carson ended it on a sugar high!

Carving pumpkins with the Hammonds on Family night which I think has turned into a yearly tradition.

We went to Cornbelly's and Barnyard Boo's at Thanksgiving Point with the Baughman's and had a great time. Carson LOVES animals and thought he was so big riding on the pony.

Carson started going to nursery this month and lets just say it's definitely not his favorite thing! The first Sunday he went he was pretty good but only lasted about 45 minutes, the second week he sobbed the WHOLE time. It was soo hard to leave him in there but they said it's probably the easiest way to get him used to it. I don't know who it was harder for, me or him! He's growing up way too fast! These are some pictures that I took his first day at nursery before we left for church.

Carson is 18 months!

Ok so I'm a little late, but Carson turned 18 months on the 25th of last month and I really can't believe how fast time flies!! He's not my baby anymore, he's so grown up and it makes me sad! We went to the doctor on Tuesday and he still only weighs 23 lbs. I'm telling you the kid does not eat, it's a fight everyday so if any of you have any suggestions let me know! He's only in the 20% for weight! He's 50% in height which has pretty much been constant since birth and yes, his head is still in the 95%! What can I say he's got a big brain! He left the doctors with a clean bill of health and Chris and I are just so happy and blessed that he's grown up to be such a happy, healthy little boy. It's been so fun to watch him these past couple of months, he's starting to talk more and his personality is really coming out, he's such a ham. He's always making us laugh and it's crazy how smart he is. He loves, loves, loves to read. I'll find him sitting in the corner with a book and jabbering away while he traces the words with his finger, it's the cutest thing ever! He can't get enough of basketballs, footballs, baseballs, anything that he can throw! He'll sit and watch football with us and get all excited when anyone scores a touchdown. He's all over the place and is turning into a little daredevil, he now climbs on everyhing! He really has grown up so much but I'm happy to say that at the end of the day he still will lay on your shoulder and let you rock him before he goes to sleep and it's those moments that I love the most!

Carson at about 1 week old, I can't believe how tiny he is!

Carson at 18 months. He loves to put on his daddy's shoes and try to walk around, he doesn't get very far but it's pretty funny to watch!

Carson loves his Daddy!

Carson enjoying some Mac & Cheese crackers with his buddy Andrew.

A couple of weeks ago we were able to go up to Tub Ridge and visit the guys on their hunting trip. Carson loves the mountains! He got to ride the 4 wheeler with daddy, play in the dirt with Blake and walk with his papa. It's always so good to go up in the mountains and get away for a while.

I love these pictures, they're so sweet! Carson loves his PaPa!

Good news!! Most of you know that my sister Jessica is pregnant, and they just found out that they are having a little girl too!! We were hoping for a boy so Carson wouldn't be surrounded by girls but we couldn't be more excited for them. It will be so fun to have our girls be so close! Congrats you guys!!

Just Kidding....It's a Girl!!

We went in for our 20 week ultrasound today and it's a girl!!! Seriously.....what were we thinking when we went to the mall to find out. The tech told us that they just hire anyone and it's basically like guessing for them. She said a lot of times girls are swollen that early so if you don't know what you're looking for than you can guess wrong, and ours did! The ultrasound today definitely shows it's a girl. I think Chris and I are still in shock but we are way excited, one of each! Chris is a little stressed, he says it's going to be the most expensive mistake yet! Of course I had to go straight to the mall and buy at least one outfit! I was so overwhelmed, there is so much girl stuff!! Anyway....the tech said that she looked as healthy as ever so we couldn't be more happier!

Rachel Tied the Knot!!

I know I'm kind of late but Rachel got married on Saturday!! It was so beautiful, she looked gorgeous and everything was perfect! Except for the fact that I'm almost 5months pregnant and had to wear a bridesmaids dress, seriously what's up with everyone getting married when I'm pregnant! My sister chose to when I was 9 months prego, and it was scarry, those of you who were there know what I mean! No really it was so fun to see her get married and her and Tyler are so happy. They just bought a townhome not too far from our house so it will be fun to live so close. I'm mad at myself though, I always take my camera everywhere thinking I'm going to get all these pictures and I think I took 5! I don't have any of the ceremony because I was in it but I'm sure Rach will post some soon and tell you all about it. We love you Rach, Congratulations!!

Carson and mommy, he was such a little trooper throughout the whole night.

My little man in his cute pink tie!

Her colors were so pretty, and I LOVED her cake!

Rach looked beautiful!

This is what happens when you ask Carson to see his teeth, so cheesy!

Its a......

Well....I know a lot of you already know but WE ARE PREGNANT!! I'm about 4 months along and we are so excited! We were supposed to find out on the 4th what we were having but we couldn't wait that long so we went to the mall. I know it's only a week and a half away but we're very impatient! I know it's crazy but here in Utah there's so many babies that they have a place called Gender Ultrasound and that's where we went. For those of you who wait the whole 9 months to find out, hats off to you because I have no idea how you do it. Anyway.....we are having another baby boy! It will be fun to have two boys so close together, they will be about 22 months apart so we will have our hands full!

Well it has been a busy summer and I can't believe that it's already almost August! I really am going to try and make an effort to start blogging more. I just got back from a trip to Texas to see my sister, and we had so much fun. My mom, sister in law, Chloe, Carson and I all flew out for a week. When we bought our tickets we decided to go cheaper and get a connecting flight, BAD IDEA!! We got to the airport at 3:00 because we were supposed to fly out at 5:15 but it turns out we were delayed until 7:15, ya 4 hours! It was a nightmare! We flew to Denver thinking we would barely make our next flight, we rushed to the gate (you should have seen us with 2 babies and all our bags, we got quite a few stares) and yes that flight was delayed an hour! We finally got onto the plane at 10:30 and got into Texas at about 1:00! Let's just say it was a day I'll never forget, we laugh about it now but it truly was miserable! I will gladly pay double next time to get there on one flight, lesson learned! Anyway.....the week went by way too fast, we had so much fun! We shopped almost every day! They had a really fun pool so we went swimming a few times and the kids loved it. We went to the aquarium on Saturday and it was packed but we still had a good time. I think that's the only place I took pictures. The kids were such troopers, we drug them around from mall to mall, they were sleep deprived all week and they were still sooo good besides a few minor tantrums! It was sad to leave but it was so good to get home and see Chris, luckily we had no delays coming back!

All of us at the aquarium

Chloe and Carson were so cute on this trip! At first Carson didn't know what to think about Chloe, she loves to give hugs and was always wanting to hold Carson's hand and give him kisses. Those of you who know Carson know that he likes his personal space, as soon as he saw Chloe coming for him he looked at anyone close to save him! By the end of the trip he had really warmed up to her and they were so cute!

This one's my favorite! Chloe had just figured out how to take off her own diaper, Carson was laying on his blanky crying and Chloe just got down right by him and gave him a hug, so sweet!

All Grown Up...

Carson had his 15 month checkup today. He has only gained half a pound in the past three months! He's in the 10-25% in weight and 50% in height. I guess we need to beef him up a little bit. And can I just say how much I hate, hate, hate it when they have to get shots. He had three today, 2 in the leg and one on his little hip, it was so sad. The stupid nurse was training some guy so she was taking her sweet time and I wanted to shove the needle in her leg!! Carson was screaming and shaking, looking up at me to save him...I hate it! So...after we made a trip to Toys R Us for a little shopping! I know he's spoiled but I couldn't help it. We ended up leaving with a basketball hoop, a book, and a set of crayons with a coloring pad. Those are his 2 new favorite things, coloring and Basketball. Well, basketball has always been his favorite but now times it by ten! He was so excited about it. Carson was in his highchair when Chris came home and the first thing he did was point over to the hoop and say "ba ball" (basketball), he was so excited to show his daddy. The funny thing is that he hadn't even played with it for the past 3 hours, he was just way too excited to tell him about it! It's stuff like that that makes me realize how grown up he is. It's kinda sad, but I love this age, he catches on to stuff so fast and loves to make us laugh.

He learned how to dribble but he knows that it works better on a hard surface so he always takes it over to the tile floor before he starts....so smart!

These little Crayola Beginnings crayons are great, they are washable and they fit perfectly in there little hands, he loves them!

We are Alive!

I now it's been forever since I posted and a lot has gone on!! A couple of weeks ago Chris went to Chicago for work so I headed up to Idaho for 5 days. My brother and sister in law came up also so it was fun to hang out with the family. Sunday morning Carson and I headed back to Utah to meet Chris and then made our 6 hour long trip to Lake Powell...A LOT of driving in one day!! Chris says Powell is his home away from home, he's been going there for a lot of years so it was fun to spend the week there. A couple of our friends have a house boat and so every year a bunch of them get together, about 18, and just hang out. This year was our first year going with them and we are so glad we did. It was the most relaxing week of our lives. It was full of boating, wakeboarding, tubing, laying out, naps, games, eating and then some more eating. I have never eaten so much junk food in my life!! I can't even tell you how nice it was to just wake up and know that you could just veg out the whole day if you wanted to. Carson absolutely LOVED it! Our friends have a little girl who is about a month older than him and they were so cute together the whole trip. They would follow each other around everywhere! They even had their first kiss! They were both sitting on my lap and I told Carson to give Mylie a kiss and he leaned in mouth wide open!! The boats were Carson's favorite, EVERYTIME a boat or a waverunner would go by he would get all excited and clap for everyone of them. He got to ride on the waverunner with dad and he thought he was pretty cool, although he didn't dare move in his lifejacket! We all had so much fun and were sad to leave and get back to everyday life! I didn't take as many pictures as I thought so I'll get some from Becca and post more of the group later.

King of the Beach!!

He loved his car floaty

Dad and Carson on the waverunner, this was Carson's expression the whole ride....he didn't dare move!
