Mama's Boy

Ok, how cute is this shirt?! All of his cousins gave it to him for his birthday and I love it!(Thanks you guys!) Chris keeps joking that if I let him wear it he's going to end up with this tatooed on his arm when he's older......that might not be so bad, he is a mama's boy!:)



Carson has been long overdue for a new carseat, his legs hang way over his carrier and he looks all awkward in it....so Papa & Yia Yia were too nice for his birthday and bought him a big boy seat and oh how he loves it. We went for a drive on Sunday and it was his first time in it and he thought he was in heaven! He yelled and laughed for about the first 5 miles, it was hilarious...he thinks he's so big being able to look out the windows and see where we're going. I can't complain before because he has always been so good in the car but now I get to see his cute face in the rear view mirror and he can't get enough of it! Thanks Papa & Yia Yia! (I could not get him to crack a smile for thes picture!)

My Husband

Ok....so I have the sweetest husband ever! It's Carson's birthday today and my husband brings ME home flowers. He wrote me a little note that said he was so thankful for me and how he thinks I'm a great mom.....I don't know about that, but I wanted to share because I thought it was so sweet, love you babe!!

Carson Boyd....All Grown Up!

Carson is officially one today! Carson got tagged by Mack a while ago so I thought this would be a good time to write some things about him.....



*He is just the happiest little guy! He really has been an angel baby (I'm worried for my next one!) He's always smiling, and when he does his whole face lights up!

*He's my little sleeper, he usually sleeps a straight 12 hours. One night last week he went to bed at 8:30 and woke up at noon the next day.....ya noon!!



*He eats like a grown man!! For example...the other day we went to Chili's and he ate a kids size mac and cheese(the whole bowl), about 10 french fries, some mashed potatoes, 2 graham crackers and some gold fish!! I finally had to put his binky in so he would stop eating! Also...everytime he eats he shakes his hands and feet and continues to say mmmmm unless there is food in his mouth....you can't shovel it in fast enough!

*He LOVES books.....it's funny because he knows when you skip a page, he insists that you look at every page and will read the same book over and over.

*He is such a little cuddler, and I love it! When he's tired he likes to lay on your chest with his binky and favorite blue blanky....he likes to run his fingers back and forth on the silk edges...it's so sweet!



*Bathtime is his favorite, if he's upset just stick him in the bath and he's smiling and splashing in no time!

*He loves playing peek-a-boo, patty cake, itsy bitsy spider...it's so cute when he tries to do the motions.



*When I hear Chris coming home from work I say "Where's daddy" and he gets a huge smile on his face and looks back and forth from the front door to the back until Chris comes in and he just starts laughing.....he loves his daddy!! (And he looks just like him)

*His middle name is the same as his dad's, who was named after his Grandpa Boyd.



I really could go on forever, he has brought us so much joy! Being parents is everything we thought it would be and a whole lot more! We love you Carson!

It's Party Time!

We had so much fun this weekend! Carson had his first birthday party. All I can say is he is sooo spoiled...I guess it's ok when they're too young to actually realize it right!?! We decorated the house with a bunch of cute cowboy stuff...Zurchers is seriously the greatest party store ever!! They have everything! Chris even came home with some blow up cactus's that he got there....I love decorating! Anyway....Carson was into opening presents for about 3 minutes and then he was done. And... out of all the fun things he opened, his favorite one ended up being a 99 cent ball that I got from Toys R Us! Who would've known! He LOVED his cake, we made him his own little round one and he ate 3/4's of it! It was so cute, he was laying back in his high chair just enjoying life. Chris had a movie made of video clips and pictures of his first year so we watched that and then just visited. It was good to hang out with all of our close family and friends. Thank you to everyone who came, we really appreciate it! We love you Carson!

Carson is turning one!!

I really can't beleive how fast this past year has gone! It seems like just yesterday Carson was born and now he's a solid 22 lbs! We decided to have a "Little Buckaroo" party for him. His birthday isn't until March 25th but were celebrating this Saturday. My cousin Laura took some more pictures of Carson in his cowboy boots and hat with his little bare bum and they turned out so cute! (Thanks again Laura!) I asked Chantri Keele to design his invitations because she is super creative. She did such a good job, they're adorable! (Their websites are under my bloggers and you should check both of them out). I know we are probably going a little over board for his 1st birthday party (that he won't even remember!) but it's too fun and he's are first so we can get away with it! Anyway... I know a lot of you can't come but if you're down in Utah you're all invited. Happy Birthday Carson!

Dr. Suess

I just wanted everyone to know that "Horton Hears a Who" is out and it is the cuttest movie ever!! If yu have kids you should definitely take them to go see it. We went with Chris's parents and took our nephew Blake, he's 5 and thought it was great. Carson even sat through it! He was fixated on the screen almost the entire time! Anyways....if you're looking for a good kid flick this is the one to see!

All is Well

I'm so glad today is over! We went to the hospital at 6:15 so we woke up at 5:15, way too early! I don't remember the last time I woke up that early and I never want to do it again! And Of course even when we got there we had to wait forever! There were so many kids waiting too, I didn't realize how many kids have to get tubes but they were calling kids back almost every 15 minutes, which made us relax a little. We finally got called back, and they weighed him, (22 lbs) he's getting so big. Then we had to put him in this little T-shirt he's wearing, so cute! It was so sad when the nurse came to take him, he cried and reached for us like "why are you letting him take me?" I felt so bad, but I didn't cry!! Seriously the surgery took like 15 minutes, it was super fast. When we went to go get him he wasn't quite out of it yet, he was all floppy and delerious. He cried for about 20 minutes straight until he finally realized he was ok. We had to wait for the doctor to bring us our perscription and then we left, I don't think we were there longer than 2 hours. I thought for sure that Carson would be onrey the rest of the day but as soon as we got home he was laughing and playing with his toys, night and day difference! I took this picture before I put him down for his nap, which by the way was 2 1/2 hours! It gave me a chance to catch up on my sleep. We went back to the doctors office later to do a follow up and she said everything looks perfect! I'm so glad we did it and I'm sure Carson is to! Hopefully no more ear infections!

Carson's Surgery

Today was a busy day! Carson had Physical Therapy today and Ben said that he has improved a ton!! Yeah!! It was good news, but the bad news is is that he has to have surgery tomorrow. He has had 7 ear infections since he was born and it is WAY too many!! I swear he has never been without one. We went to the Ear, Nose, Throat specialist last week and she recommended ear tubes. I know it's not that serious of a surgery and a lot of kids get them but it's scarry...at least for me. She said it only takes about 20 minutes but they have to put them under..that's the part I don't like, he's so little and it can be dangerous! Anyway, they say that if the ear infections continue it could cause permanent earing damage so we opted for the tubes. We have to be at the hospital at 6:30 in the morning so it's early to bed for me tonight! I'm just so glad that my husband holds the preisthood, he gave Carson a blessing before he went to bed and I feel really good about it. Anyway...I will update you tomorrow on the surgery. (I will have to post my Spring Cleaning day 2 pictures tomorrow, I know you can't wait!:))

Girls Night Out

I had so much fun this weekend. I went up to Idaho for Jodie's baby shower and Friday went out with all my friends from High School. We went out to dinner at Ruby River and out of the 7 that went, 5 are pregnant! It's so crazy....April, Stevie, Kim & Jodie are all due within 2 weeks of each other and they all have the cuttest little bellies! For some it's the third, others the second but Jodie's the only one on her first and we are so excited for her!! It was really good to catch up with everyone, I'm so greatful for girlfriends! I love my husband to death but a night out with the girls is just something you can't live without. Seriously I don't know what I would do without them. I'm sure you can all relate! Then Saturday my mom and I threw Jodie her baby shower and man did we have a good turn out...there were probably around 60 people that showed up! We sent out 80 invitations but I never imagined that many people would come. It was a ton of fun, she got hooked up with tons of baby stuff. We were so glad we were able to do it for her and can't wait to meet her little one! Thanks everyone for the awesome weekend!!
